" I pity all those who have passed away without knowing the pleasure of 2 wheels between their legs. when you throw your leg over that dream machine, you can be hopalong cassidy or steve mcqueen. that feeling of freedom can't be matched. blasting down the road, vibrating from head to toe, the bark of the pipes saying go go go. theres no denying its in my blood as i was riding down the freeway on a surplus ww2 harley with my ma and pa. to the hospital in a hurry yes they were and 20 minutes later i was born kicking and screaming. i'm sure it was there was somrthing missing "the 2 wheels between my legs. |

Our local Rotary group was cleaning the streets up for the upcoming Artichoke Festival on the 17th. I work for the Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice for San Benito, Monterey, So. Santa Clara, and So. Santa Cruz Counties and we are having a Teddy Bear Run with the ABATE club on 10/19/08 and I wanted to see if you would like to participate. Everyone brings a stuffed toy for a child receiving nursing care at home and participates in a raffle to raise a little money for these kids. The VNA provides a great lunch at the Monterey Elks lodge afterwards...so call me if you want to join us. |
